Its that time of year. Im packing my "stuff", and tons of it, to head up to NW Canada, British Columbia to be exact. Weather is supposed to be well, lets say Fall Canadian weather. 7 as a low and 14 high and it can change on a dime. Its a bit odd writing this onlin as I usually write in my journal knowing, no one will read it...odd. :-)
Well I haven't been able to make any new posts simply because of where I've been. Cell coverage is non existant and wifi....well no one has it.
its been week since I arrived and I will say I've had a couple nice weather days. Today I managed an a.m. Walk on the beach, 3 hour kayak up Grice Bay, then a trial ride on the ATV, and plenty of sunshine.
Campsite at Mackenzie Bay. This bay faces the wide open Pacific Ocean and camping is right on the beachfront amungst think forest.
Another trip over with. Went to visit Christian and hit up some great restaurants including The Palm Two on second ave- the Mid-town East. Great steak but very pricy. Hit Soho and West Village for some shopping and then Christian took us to one of his favorite places in Brooklyn, Sweet Chicks, for a great brunch.
Christian, Craig, Sebastian
Stayed on the south end of Central Park and had amazing people watching weather.
Well, been all over the place this year. Just returned from Atlanta and headed to NYC tomorrow. Travel was a real bitch over the past winter months due to weather. Had freezing temps in Dallas, blizzards in NYC, ice in Atlanta..twice, and thunderstorms in Richmond. Ohhh and then there was Ohio... cold, cold, cold. Funny enough the best travel weather was in Minneapolis.
The beginning of a long eve. in NYC.
Supposed to be mid 80's in the city the next two days so we are looking forward to a walk in the park, some good food, and a couple of down days visiting Christian.
I plan on heading back into upper BC Canada in a few weeks then not sure where I'll be next. Just glad winter is several months away.
Ahhhhh!
After years of looking at BMW Motorcycles, i finally bought one. Its the F700gs and its a fun ride. Bit heavy, about 450 lbs fully fuleled, but getting used to it and looking forward to taking it off road.
The plan is to load it on a trailer and take it to Canada in the late summer and fall to escape the Florida heat.
Put Sebastian on it for a ride down Indian Mound. Didnt get far. He needs a smaller bike to start on.
